JERSEY CITY, NJ, November 8, 2006 – As part of its branded online entertainment effort, SV The Silk Vodka, the naturally smooth “silk” vodka from Russia, confirms that it has launched its very own internet radio station entitled Silk Radio. A partnership with AccuRadio, the first multi-channel internet radio station reaching over 1,000,000 unique listeners a month, the fully branded internet radio station will serve as an innovative way for the brand to interact with its key audience. The station debuted November 1, 2006.
The format of Silk Radio will be centered on “Hiptronica” the same type of music heard in upscale young clubs, with sub-channels for Indie music, Emerging Artists and Dance.
“Silk Radio is much more than a media buy or sponsorship,” said Kurt Hanson CEO of AccuRadio. “We’ve taken the internet radio platform and created a station solely for one brand, where that brand controls all content – music, playlists, images and messaging.”
Silk Radio will live exclusively on www.svvodka.com, with featured links on Accuradio.com and additional banner ads driving traffic to the site. The player will provide access to other SV links and includes a viral element to pass the Silk Radio link to friends. Additionally, listeners will be able to download a Silk Radio Icon to their desktop for direct and continuous access.
